"I went straight to Charles," says Jill. "And within 10 weeks we were back in . . . I prefer the dark wood. My husband bought me a Don Pentz painting for my 40th birthday - I love the texture. The kitchen matches the piece - it worked out well."
This beautiful open concept kitchen and dining area, perfect for entertaining, features cherry wood Shaker cabinets.
"I would highly recommend them to anyone," Jill says. "And who Charles recommends - he set me up with Elliot Mosher and I'll never go with another carpenter." They often work together along with Elliot's subcrews. "That's how the work gets done," she adds with satisfaction.
"It's the first hood Roy built" says Jill. "It's beautiful." Her husband, Todd Stoddart, enjoys being bartender when the couple have guests over. This bar island sink and hidden storage suit him fine.

At day's end, Jill got a nice surprise. "I love baking," she says, "and baking bread best. With the granite countertop, I can knead and knead without having to add flour - the dough doesn't stick to the granite."

"The CLC kitchen crew was builder Roy Parsons assisted by Michael Drew and Winston Wagner. Jeff Crouse did the staining and lacquer spray. The contractor who did this great reno was Elliot Mosher and his subcrews, No Problem Electrical, Derrell Swinamar and Donald Mader of Young and Mader Painting. The counter tops were provided by Nova Tile and Marble."

This wonderful space allows large get-togethers and chatting with guests while preparing food or drinks. The kitchen is a cherry shaker with a rich warm color chosen by the owners.
