Exceptional dream kitchen - definitely worth the decades-long wait

There was "no doubt anyone but Charles Lantz would build our kitchen," says this Nova Scotia homeowner. "Charles is a great guy."

The couple had plenty of time for research and preparation including a 3D design. For nearly 30 years, they'd made do with a set of cabinets from his mother's home that were older than him.

Her "pride and joy" is her stand-up desk with pull-out keyboard, printer, scanner and built-in file cabinets and drawers. All hidden behind closed doors when not in use.

"Roy's been a honeybun. He made good suggestions. He was always calm and collected. We are so happy with the kitchen. We both enjoy cooking so we needed the extra space."

"Custom is custom." The kitchen is home to dozens of shelves and drawers - each designed for one layer of items. "We gave Roy the inside measurements for all. It's really really functional - so easy to keep clean. The custom pantry works perfectly." Note the black toe kick setting off the cabinets like a frame does a piece of art.

The table was painted inhouse at CLC for an otherwise impossible, perfect match.
