"I knew what I wanted," says Annette. "We were over 15 years here and 10 years at the other house . . . Charles went to town -
there was no wasted space! We just love it. Charles is so nice, he has such a work ethic. From the get-go we felt very comfortable with him - you can trust him."
Cyrille adds, "The change is quite dramatic . . .
we finally got rid of the early '80s' decor & moved on to the 21st century."
The designer explained a black double range and fridge minimized their visual impact.
"The architect designed it with deeper counters for more work space." says Annette.

Two-toned island features contrasting colour-scheme, fine cabinetry and double brown sinks.
"CLC deferred to us," says Annette. "They were very pleasant - we were very, very pleased.
Before they left they would clean up - we'd hardly know they were here."

From left, "The old pantry-closet is now our butler's pantry," notes Cyrille. The TV cabinet's fabric-covered doors allow access to the remotes without opening the door. The clutter stays hidden.

The new kitchen area was the family room and the new family room was the kitchen.
